The luminescent Ge-similar construction was prepared by ion implantation of Ge ions into diamond and subsequent annealing or CVD. Higher purity IIa-form (001) one-crystal diamond substrates (Ingredient six, electronic grade) ended up used for the ion implantation experiments. The level of nitrogen impurities within the substrate is under five ppb.
